What is the 8-hour rule regarding alcohol consumption before flight?
Answer
Under 14 CFR 91.17, a person may not act as a crewmember within 8 hours of consuming alcohol ('8 hours bottle to throttle'). Also prohibited: blood alcohol at or above 0.04%, or under the influence regardless of time.
